Without a Knife and Fork
Throughout its history, besides its sounds and images, Greek cinema also had its own particular aromas and tastes. Whether discreetly or more overtly, these different tastes helped flesh out characters, alluded to social inequalities, and contributed equally to the representation of Greek reality and its poetic transcendence. The temporary exhibition being held as part of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival attempts to add these flavors to the environment of the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum, in bite-size pieces, “without a knife and fork.”
