La Fémis, the French National Film School, organizes a pitching session of 10 European archive based documentary lm projects, which have been developed within the European professional workshop ARCHIDOC, to a panel of broadcasters and distributors. Over the last ten years, ARCHIDOC has tutored directors of more than 100 creative documentary projects using various archive materials: footage, stills, diaries, drawings, sound recordings. 40% of them have been pro- duced and screened or broadcast, and many of them have been awarded in international lm festivals. Among them: Cinema Komunisto by Mila Turajlic (Serbia, selected in more than 20 festivals), The Themersons by Wiktoria Szymanska (Poland/France/UK, theatrical release), Nitrate Flames by Mirko Stopar (Norway, selected and awarded in 15 festivals worldwide), The Decent One by Vanessa Lapa (Israel/Austria/Germany, selected in 15 festivals and released in theaters).
